About CEHTA

Center of Excellence in Horticulture and Agricultural Technologies of Țaul, founded in 1963, is a post-secondary technical vocational education institution, with combined programs, subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. During 57 years of activity, the institution trained specialists for the field of agriculture, food industry and other branches of the national economy.
The geographical location of the Center of Excellence in Horticulture and Agricultural Technologies of Țaul is a special one, being geographically located in one of the most picturesque localities of the northern area of the republic, a locality with a historical and architectural load. Some buildings in the area are declared historical monuments, architectural heritage assets, such as Andrei Iacob Pommer’s Manor with one of the biggest dendrological park, built at the beginning of the 20th century.

Mission

Center of Excellence in Horticulture and Agricultural Technologies of Țaul – part of the national system of vocational technical education – offers to the community, general and professional quality training in the agricultural field and related sectors; institution adapted to the dynamics of the labor market. The development of practical skills and the use of modern technologies are our priority.

Vision

Center of Excellence in Horticulture and Agricultural Technologies of Țaul will stand out through:
Diversification of educational services according to the requirements of the labor market: continuous professional training courses for trainees; certification of professional skills in agriculture and related sectors; school inclusion, gender equality;
Didactic, curricular and methodical assurance of ISCED levels III, IV and V technical vocational training programs in the field of agriculture and related sectors;
Partnerships with the institutions and the economic and public entities: communication network and efficient exchange of experience at the level of teaching staff / trainees (students, apprentices) in order to ensure academic mobility; promoting educational practices; attracting and implementing national and international projects; professional integration on the labor market of graduates; Development of income-generating activities.

Training programs (specialties)

Graduates of the Center of Excellence receive a diploma of professional and technical studies. Students enrolled in secondary school, upon request, take the baccalaureate exams after the third year of studies. Holders of the diploma of professional and technical studies can continue their studies in higher education in a specialty within the profile studied in the institution. Holders of the baccalaureate diploma and professional technical studies diploma can pursue higher studies in any requested profile.

Involvement in projects

  1. Erasmus+ CBVET project: FARMKEEN. CEHTA, partner of the Erasmus+ CBVET project: FARMKEEN: Fostering the next generation of farmers in the Republic of Moldova through work-based learning and integrating sustainability in agricultural VET.
  2. The „Competitiveness and rural resilience in Moldova” project, „COOP-EdAgri-COOL/Cooperation for agricultural education”
  3. Project initiated by the Agricultural Systems Studio „SAS AGRO” initiated a strategic project in collaboration with CEHTA and financially supported by USAID Moldova, within the „Rural Competitiveness and Resilience” project.
  4. The „Edu – Tech – Agro – North – Agricultural Technological Education for the North” project is financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Moldova) through the Competitiveness and Rural Resilience Project in Moldova (PCRR) and is implemented by ACETI, in collaboration with development partners.
  5. The „Social Entrepreneurship – strong point in the sustainable development of communities” project, launched by the Association for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, of which CEHTA is also a part, financed by the European Union and co-financed by Sweden through the East European Foundation.
  6. The Restructuring Project of the Horticultural Sector in the Republic of Moldova „Livada Moldovei”. Through the „Livada Moldovei” project, the educational process was made more efficient at CEHTA of Țaul by creating didactic-demonstration groups and the creation of the Methodological-Didactic Training Center which includes the „Physico-chemical analyzes of food products” and „Processing of horticultural products” laboratories.
